Product Types
There are several types of products that can be added to the store, each serving different purposes based on customer needs and business models. Simple products are standalone items that don't have variations. They are straightforward to manage, with a single SKU, price, and stock level.
On the other hand, configurable products allow customers to select from different options or variations of the same product, such as size, color, or material. Each variation (or option) is treated as a separate product, with its own SKU and stock, but is presented as one product on the storefront.
Gift cards come in two types: virtual gift cards, which are delivered digitally via email and used online, and physical gift cards, which are shipped to customers and redeemed in physical or online stores.
Lastly, virtual products are intangible items, such as software, services, or digital downloads, which don't require shipping but can still be purchased like any other product. These product types provide flexibility for store owners to offer a wide range of goods and services.
